August Favorites.

OGX Orchid Oil Color Protect Oil
My hair turns extremely yellow in the summer and I needed to pick up a UV protectant product. Like the sun does to skin, the sun and its rays impact the hair severely and if you have light hair like me, the sun can bleach and turn my hair a brassy yellow color. I spritz this all over my hair (especially at my roots) if I am going to be out in the sun a lot during a particular day. The best thing to do though is to wear a hat! Protect your hair! At the beginning of the summer, I was using Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer, but found that the cream formula weighed down my hair so I switched to an oil because it is nicer on hair and deeps it from getting too much product build up.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3
I have been hearing about this line of products over and over again so I finally decided to give it a shot. I picked up the at home treatment to see how it will help my extremely sad and brittle hair. I dampen my hair and slather this on for about an hour and then follow it with a shampoo and condition. I have already noticed a difference in my hair and I am so glad this product is now in my life. My hair is softer, glossier and overall, just feels more healthy.

Dr Teal's Foaming Bath Relax & Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint
Since returning from London, I have become all about treating myself with good skincare, hair and beauty products. Right now, my favorite thing to do is watch an episode of Friends while taking a bubble bath and doing a face and hair mask. This stuff smells incredible and really helps me relax. It gives off a great "clean" smell and feeling and creates just the right amount of bubbles for me. I picked up the 34 oz bottle at Shopko for $6 the other day and it's already one of my favorite bubble baths.

British Vogue's What On Earth Is Wellness? YouTube series
I went on vacation two weeks ago with my family and ate nothing but junk and drank nothing but cider for the week I was with them. I came home feeling pretty sluggish and decided I wanted to start slowly implementing new things into my diet. As I was starting this, British Vogue kicked off their new health series with Camille Rowe that is very informing and I have already been learning a lot. It tackles all aspects of wellness and dieting - it's filmed great and is very informative of how people should be taking care of their bodies and mental states in a number of different ways. They have episodes weekly that tackle different topics!
My denim jacket, patches and enamel pins
This is probably one of my favorite things in my closet. I picked up the jacket in Shoreditch (east London) a few months ago and have since been collecting and adding patches and enamel pins to it. It started with the Neck Deep patch on the back that came from a bootleg shirt I bought outside one of their shows and then I began collecting everything from cities I've visited, concerts I've gone to and a few online stores. The patch fad is coming back and I am glad I hopped on the bandwagon before it completely took off because now getting patches and pins is so accessible. The most recent additions to my jacket at the enamel pins from The Maine that have their faces on each one and a Seattle patch I picked up in Pike Place the other day! I can't wait to get this jacket all done and start on the next one! The jacket carries a lot of memories for me already and it's a nice way to have those memories with me always.
Dr. Martens 1461s in black
I bought these at the beginning of the summer and on days when it's not miserably hot, these never leave my feet! I bought some padded adhesive bandages from Target and layered them on the back heels of the shoes and have had no blisters or discomfort since! These shoes are made so incredibly well and will last forever so they are definitely worth the price. I think I got them for about $80 on Zappos.com and they really just add to every single outfit I wear. I see them as an investment and will be wearing them for years to come!
Stranger Things
Yes, I hopped on this bandwagon and am so glad I did. If you haven't watched this show yet, do it now! It is worth the hype. I was hooked the first fifteen minutes I began watching and am itching for a new season already. It's the perfect mix of humor, thriller and sci-fi and is so incredibly written. The kids acting in this show make it what it is and you form an attachment to them all as you continue to watch!
Blush by Moose Blood
I fell in love with Moose Blood months ago and have been waiting so long for this album to come out. Not only is the music incredibly written, allowing for me to form a personal attachment to each track with my own memories, but the vocals are so unique and beautiful. There really isn't another band like Moose Blood and I know they are going to go off and do amazing things.
Listen to: Glow, Honey and Knuckles

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
