Outfit #1 - I want that sweater more than anything in the world. I love leopard print, but only wear it every once and a while and not a whole lot of it at one time because I think too much of the print can leave your outfit looking tacky! Alexa always manages to play with loud prints that don't completely take away from the outfit like this sweater for example. She balances it out with the beautiful metallic skirt. One thing I noticed she does a lot is pair her outfit with a very bright colored bag to add a little pop of something - the red shoulder bag she adds does just the trick!
Outfit #2 - Casual outfits are my favorite (obviously) and this is an outfit I would totally wear. Shiny and metallic shirts are my favorite because they are so easy to pair with a graphic t-shirt (which I own too many of). The simple shoes and matching cardigan leave Alexa looking completely comfortable without looking completely underdressed. When Alexa dress casually, she always goes for more a rocker, laid back type vibe which is what I dress in on a daily basis for the most part.
Outfit #3 - Black and white stripes and little jumpers are my current obsession. This look has everything I look for in an outfit - a loud print that is paired with a down right adorable jumper. I remember back in the day being told that brown and black don't go together which to this day still will never make sense to me. The brown belt was a perfect choice with this outfit (I love braided waist belts). I think if she were to have added a bright colored belt instead, it would have distracted away from the outfit as a whole.
Outfit #4 - Overalls are my favorite. Ever since I was little, my mom always strapped in a pair of overalls and let me go to town. I am glad that they are making a comeback and are no longer left with that Farmer Joe stigma that has been attached to them for so many years. I am a huge fan of this look - I love that Alexa paired the overalls with a nice, fancy blouse and a great pair of heels. Especially with how big, baggy and BLUE those overalls - Alexa easily could have looked like she was going to work than at an event. With any other style of shoes (even flats), the outfits wouldn't have been executed as well.
Outfit #5 - This is my favorite look on Alexa. Its so classy and looks beautiful on her. The Chanel bag is what sells me (how cute is that???). The wicker purse is PERFECT. The grey and black trimmed jacket paired with the white and black top give Alexa that amazing classic vintage look while the lace trim shorts and printed polka dot tights modernize it. I think that if she were to have worn long black pants, the outfit would have looked bulky - but the shorts and tights allow the eyes to flow better, right down to those amazing shiny black booties (I love booties).
Outfit #6 - The bag brings this whole look together. The purple color is to die for and I want that jacket in my closet right now. The fabric and oversized green pockets literally leave me drooling over this jacket. Again, if she had worn long pants or anything other than tights - the entire outfit would have looked really bulky on her because the jacket is already so large on her frame. With the flashiness of the oversized bag and jacket, I am glad Alexa paired the outfit with those simple black heels because it isn't a distraction from the rest of the outfit.
