Pre-Fall 2015 Collections

DeDesigners debuted their pre-Fall 2015 collections over the past few weeks and I have narrowed down my six favorite collections.

Burberry Prorsum
November 24th, 2014
This collection had my favorite coats and jackets of the season. As you can see from my past fashion week coverage posts, Burberry Prorsum has consistently debuted some of my favorite collections of any season. Their wide range of styled coats cater to all different types of women, each of them rich in color, detail and execution. I would wear every single one of these coats for the fall and winter.

Chanel
December 2nd, 2014
As my favorite high fashion line of the season, Karl Lagerfeld and the other visionaries behind Chanel never seem to disappoint me. This insanely large collection is perfect, right down to every detail. I grew particularly fond of the looks that kept a simple silhouette and color, but had fine details that were bright in color since this collection was primarily neutral tones. This collection had a modern spin on an old style of clothing, keeping it feminine, elegant and fun. There are so many looks to choose from that I couldn't help but get overwhelmed at some point, but the vision was clear and the execution was nothing short of spectacular.

Elie Saab
December 12th, 2014
As another one of my favorite designers, I always look forward to seeing new collections from Elie Saab. For this season, there were a lot more bright and pastel colors than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. Elie always keeps his silhouettes and lace work consistent, making it impossible to mistake his garments for anything other than his own. His use of fur adds a hint of drama to his classic designs and the pop of colors are so rich and a wonderful contrast from the black colors that are seen throughout the line.

Marchesa
December 18th, 2014
I will always love Marchesa. Their designs are so elegant and feminine, but each look has its own strong concept that can make any women look gorgeous, but powerful. There is always such a variety of looks in each of their collections which keeps Marchesa fresh, fun and unpredictable. Their incorporation of bead and lace work are two things that drive this collection - the concepts are in the detailing, not the silhouettes.

Red Valentino
December 15th, 2014
As the most wearable collection out of my pre-Fall 2015 favorites, the 1960's vibe I get from the overall concept of this collection is what really struck me. The line is youthful and fun, each look having some sort of quirkiness to it. The black and army green colors found throughout are details I really enjoyed because I heavily wear those two colors in the fall. The peter pan necklines of the floral dresses are perfect for young girls, but older ones as well. The garments are able to be dressed up, down or according to age which makes this line very versatile.

Tory Burch
December 1st, 2014
I would wear every single garment in this collection. I instantly fell in love with the mod inspired pieces - the neutral tones, the checkered prints and the incredibly tailored coats and fit are all looks I would wear in the fall. I also completely fell in love with her looks that have more pastel colors, particularly the powder blue jacket that is to die for. I used to look at primarily Tory Burch's bags and accessories and not much else, but for the past few collections, she has consistently been one of my favorites.

Hope all is well.
