2015 Fall Couture Coverage: Part 1

Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition
July 6th, 2015
Season after season, Alberta Ferretti has made my list of favorites with this season being no exception. I love the attention to structure in this collection. A lot of the same concepts and fabrics were used throughout, but each piece had a specific structure to it that allowed the entire look to be transformed into something incredibly beautiful. The metallic golds and bright prints seen throughout caught my eyes the most and truly allowed for this couture collection to have historically accurate inspirations and indulgent themes I can't get enough of.

I would probably wear all of the pieces in this collection. The vintage inspiration is ever present in the silk and satin work of the pieces, as well as the incorporation of heavy fur coats and detailing. The pieces with heavy lace work and those breathtaking peach and baby blue colored fabrics made this one show stopping collection. Each garment is worthy of being in a couture collection without being so over the top. The subtle elegance and craftsmanship done this season made this an unforgettable collection.

What looks to be like a page taken out of the madness that is the world of Tim Burton, there wasn't a single flaw displayed in this couture collection. The avant-garde styling of each individual garment left me with so much to look at, each look surprising me with every discovery. As one of the more unconventional collections displayed this season, the allusions created with the fabric add depth to and really transcend the runway into a completely different world. Each piece brings a different persona, a different character to life in this collection and that truly makes for an unbelievable couture collection.

Zuhair Murad

Zuhair Murad never disappoints when it comes to creating lavished and beautifully detailed pieces. Like every collection debuted, this set of couture pieces individually showed the design and craftsmanship that goes into making a collection. No piece is like another and each holds a separate concept from each other. From ball gowns to wedding dresses and pantsuits, this collection has it all. This collection is all in the detailing - from each stitch of a hem to bead sewn on, the true essence of Zuhair Murad is all in the detailing of each garment.

Chanel
July 7th, 2015
Chanel always tops my list of designers I look forward to see at fashion week. Karl Lagerfeld and his team has never created something anything less than extraordinary. Like past shows, this collection was able to transcend into a set of looks that are different from preview shows, but still hold that world famous Chanel style. The beautifully crafted cocktail dresses were the highlights in this incredibly large collection for me. From the pops of red and feathered detailing show throughout to the signature Chanel coats and shirts, this collection was another perfect set to add to Chanel's history.
