I knew since I was about sixteen that I would get a tattoo for my cat when he passed away. I have a backlog of photos of him that were taken to be used as a tattoo reference when the time came.
I lost him last month and it is still something I am not completely over. I lost him on a Wednesday and booked the tattoo appointment on a Thursday.
I knew the second I came across Inma's work that she was the one to do my tattoo. The Family Business was such a great shop and everyone there is extremely funny and friendly.
Inma was so incredibly sweet and easy to talk to. Her work is absolutely incredible and I want her to do all of my tattoos because of her talent and her lovely personality!
Hour 2: This was my first big tattoo and it took close to six hours to complete. Going in, I knew I wanted the focus to be his face and to have wild flowers framing him because he was such an outdoorsy cat and loved a good adventure.
Hour 4: I let Inma put her own spin the shading and coloring of the flowers and she did not disappoint. I listened to a lot of PVRIS, State Champs, and Neck Deep while I sat in the chair.
Hour 6: I sat pretty solid for the first few hours, but once she started getting to the end of the shading (particular on his eye area), I was feeling the pain and the blood shows that.
At the end of the day, I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out. It looks exactly like my Leo and I feel so much better knowing he will still be with me in some way.
I still miss my little guy more than anything and it will take time to heal, but this tattoo helped bring some closure and I am so happy I went through with it.
Hope all is well.
Just love me:

Wow! Leo will be with you now everywhere <3
