It's Just Really Cold Out.

So Seattle has been hit with some cold weather and by cold, I mean that it barely reaches above freezing during the day. So being the person that I am, I thought it would be GENIUS to wear a dress.

I wore this dress that past summer at the Uproar Festival (see the post here) and kind of forget I even had it until I began tearing apart my wardrobe this past week.
I picked up this dress at Marshall's for like $13ish and it is the perfect dress to layer in the winter and wear as is in the summer. It's light weight and comfortable so I can frolic in the sun with it on or pair it with a sweater or two.
Since my outfit is mainly black (surprising, right?), I added a neon yellow belt for a pop of color and bright pink lips. I talked about my lip color in my February Favorites posts (see the post here).
Monochromatic patterns are my favorite to have in my wardrobe because you can basically pair it with anything. I wear this cardigan a lot when my outfit is kind of plain or all one color. It jazzes up the look a little bit and makes it pop.
Since it is FREEZING OUTSIDE, I paired this dress with a pair of leggings and my H&M jacket that I have basically been living in since I bought it a few months ago. The green color goes with most things in my closet and it is super lightweight and warm.
And of course, gotta have the boots.
And since it is Thursday and I took my time getting ready this morning, here are some photos of me being dumb.
I am so obsessed with my patterned nails and cannot wait to change them up for Valentine's Day!
I will be posting something on Philip Seymour Hoffman tomorrow and expect a new playlist to jam out to. I am heading up to Canada for the weekend and I need some road trip tunes.
