Adele
Release date: November 20th, 2015
I didn't know I needed this in my life until it was in my life. Adele will forever be one of the greatest artists of our generation and her music is literally perfection. Her musical style and her amazing voice made for another perfect album on her behalf. I know I will be listening to this record for a long, long time.
Listen to: Send My Love (To Your New Lover) and When We Were Young

Drowners
Drowners
Release date: January 28th, 2014
Yes, this album was technically released in 2014, but it was heavily played on repeat by me this year. Drowners' style of music is exact what I look for - every song is full with really well written lyrics. I just need this band to release new stuff! One album from them isn't enough for me.

Get Weird
Little Mix
Release date: November 6th, 2015
Love these girls to pieces and this is easily their best release yet. I have always been a fan of girl bands and Little Mix is by far one of my favorites. Their vocals are insane on this album and I love so many of the songs in this bunch. Even though these tracks are sickly sweet pop songs, the quality of lyrics and subject matter on this album really cause this to be one of the best pop albums, in my opinion, released this year.

Absent Sounds
From Indian Lakes
Release date: October 4th, 2014
Again, another album that was released in 2014, but still a record that was prevalent on my playlists all year long. Music really doesn't get much better than From Indian Lakes. Every single song is so well put together and written that it blows a lot of other indie artists out of the water. I turn to this album when I am studying, need some space to think or simply can't think of anything else to listen to. Joey Vannucchi's voice is one of the most soothing things out there.

The Story So Far
The Story So Far
Release date: March 15th, 2015
Although it is not my favorite from them, this is still an incredible album. I gained far more appreciation for it after seeing them perform these songs live a few weeks ago. They are my favorite band in the pop punk scene and know how to put together a good pop punk song. In this genre particular, songs and artists can start to blur together, but TSSF have managed to create their own song and lyrical writing that really separates them from other bands in the genre.

That's The Spirit
Bring Me The Horizon
Release date: September 11th, 2015
I can't get enough of this album. I was introduced to it late, but the second I heard it, I fell in love immediately. I was into BMTH a few years ago, back before they changed their sound, but I really love where they went with That's The Spirit. Each track is BIG and incredibly catchy - the production of this album is their best yet. This album is the perfect bridge between metalcore and pop, giving it a great balance for loads to enjoy.

Made in the A.M.
One Direction
Release date: November 13th, 2015
It's no surprise that this was one of my favorite albums of the year. As a crazed 1D fan, I can say with all honesty that this is the most quality batch of songs they have released in their career. They wrote on the most tracks and were the most active with this record than with anything else they have put out in the past. The style and writing is far more mature and was the perfect send off for their year and a half long hiatus.
Listen to: Hey Angel, A.M. and If I Could Fly

FKA Twigs
Release date: August 13th, 2015
I love anything FKA Twigs releases. While I do wish this EP had a few more songs on it, this release had some of her best work on it. Her style is incredibly unique and really sets her apart from other artists in her genre. Everything she does is so theatrical and that definitely shows in this EP. Her voice is so angelic and each song is so different from the other, she is an artist that shows versatility and true artistry.

American Candy
The Maine
Release date: March 31st, 2015
This was my most played album that was released in 2015. Although I don't think anything will match up to Pioneer, this was an amazing album released from them. English Girls was my most played song of 2015 (200+ times) and the pop rock sound they went for this time around was fresh, exciting and each track made me incredibly happy. The Maine will always be one of my favorite artists and I will love anything they put out.

The Balcony
Catfish and The Bottlemen
Release date: September 15th, 2014
While I anxiously await for a new album from them in 2016, The Balcony was also one of my most played albums in 2015. I cannot get enough of it. As an artist that only has one album out, I normally get sick of listening to the same batch of songs over and over again. For this album, however, I never got sick of it. Catfish's sound is everything I look for in a band and all of the subject matter in their songs are things I can relate to, causing this to be one of the most perfect albums released in the past two years.
Listen to: Cocoon and Hourglass
