Best Dressed:
Brie Larson in Calvin Klein
I love the color of this dress. The bronzy-gold compliments the sequins, as well as Brie's skin tone. This gown has a really unique silhouette that was unlike anything else seen on the carpet and fits her beautifully.
Kirsten Dunst in Valentino
I love anything black velvet and this dress is gorgeous. It's sleek and simple and the rope detailing on the top allows for unique detailing and keeps the dress from looking too plain.
Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana
Elle Woods would probably wear this gown in a second and I fell in love the second I saw it on Kate's Instagram. It's girly, it's fun and she really stood out on the carpet. The shade of pink used is perfect, it's not too dark or too bright, and compliments the amount of sequins used really well.
Wiz Khalifa in Thom Browne
Wiz is always one of my favorite men to see on the carpets. He keeps to his style, but always looks incredibly sleek and put together. His loafer/cropped pant combo that are staples in his red carpet looks are always a win for me. I love the light patterned tie he wore, it contrasts well to the darkness of the suit and is an unexpected detail.
Taylor Schilling in Thakoon
I always love a good pant suit and this is probably one of my favorites that have ever been on the red carpet. I love the black sequins with the plunging neckline, it keeps the structured look feminine and fun. The pulled back hair keeps the look for looking too heavy and the focus being on the neckline.
Honorable Mention:
Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad
I adore the color and silhouette of this gown. She stood out on the carpet and was literally glowing all night long. The dress is incredibly elegant, but still fun with the way the sequins were designed on the fabric.
Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen
Rooney never disappoints me. You will always find her in either blush, white, or black colors on the carpet - all three compliment her fair skin so well. This gown is beautifully designed and paired with the red lip and the sleek pony braid, it all comes together beautifully.
Kate Hudson in Michael Kors
Yes, Kate. Yes. She always wears gown that show off her amazing body so well. Her fun and flirty personality never fails to come through on the carpet, no matter what she is wearing. The soft waves of her hair with the silhouette of the gown and the incredibly flashy shoes all come together and make for another great red carpet moment for Kate!
Eddie Redmayne in ??
I couldn't find the designer of this suit for the life of me, but I love it. Close up, there are small bee prints scattered throughout the fabric that give the suit a lovely texture that I need to see more on the carpet. The dark navy color with the bowtie and white pocket square leaves him looking incredibly polished.
Worst Dressed:
Maggie Gyllenhaal in Marc Jacobs
Maggie is always on my best dressed of the carpet so I was incredibly disappointed when I saw this gown. The heavy detailing on the left shoulder with the harsh pattern of the fabric just clash and really age her. The chunky bracelets and earrings do not go with the look and the pink lips really miss the mark. It's all just a mess.
Cate Blanchett in Givenchy
I would probably love this gown if there wasn't so much fabric. It really weighs her down and looks incredibly heavy. There are just a lot of design elements that seem to clash and make it really hard to know what the vision of this gown was.
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
