The Northwest Dweeb Takes London: Meeting The Love of My Life

I have been in love with Leonardo Dicaprio since the age of five, when I pulled the VHS set of Titanic off the shelf at my grandparents' house and demanded to watch it after seeing the pretty boy on the cover. I have easily seen that movie over three hundred times over the past sixteen years and between those viewings and seeing all of Leo's other works, a dream of mine has always been to meet him.

I mean, I named my cat after him when I was seven. I don't think there is any more proof of my undying love for him than that.
Lying to get off work early and standing in 33 degree weather in the middle of Leicester Square on Thursday, the moment I have basically been dreaming about for sixteen years finally happened.
I was filled with doubt that Leo would even come to my side of the carpet during the London premiere of The Revenant, but he took the time to go down every line of fans and sign things.

I had brought nothing for him to sign and was literally completely frozen as he came down because I couldn't believe I was that close to him. I muttered a very shaky 'I love you' to him and he looked up and locked eyes with me for two seconds. It wasn't much of an exchange, but it really meant everything to me. I ended up falling on a girl behind me and started crying and she gave me the biggest hug because she realized how much I was in shock.

I will never forget that moment for the rest of my life.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
