The Northwest Dweeb Takes London: Life Update

I have a little over a month left in London before I head back to the states. I feel like I have accomplished so much, but still seen so little. This past year has offered me some of my greatest music photography and journalism opportunities yet and it has not only boosted my self-confidence as a photographer and writer, but has also tested my abilities and has made me realize how much I still need to work on.

I am nowhere near where I want to be in terms of my photography and writing and know I have so much to work on. I hope to go home to Seattle and start working even harder on both parts of my life and learn as much as I can. I really lost a lot of knowledge and skill during the year I put my camera down and I regret it more than anything.

I received some constructive criticism earlier this week and rather than being discouraged about what was said, I am going to flip into something positive. The criticism has, in a sense, made me more driven than ever before. There is always room for improvement.

My time in London has shown me where I want to go in life especially since I am heading into my last year at university. I hope that in this last year, I can learn a lot more and perfect my photography even more because there are a ton of improvements I need to make.

I have some amazing opportunities coming up for the last part of my stay in London that I can't wait to share with everyone soon. Music journalism and photography are two things I have grown to love even more over the past year and are things I see myself doing in the future.

For now, I am going to keep working as hard as I can and getting as many experiences as possible. I am hoping to get my photography website set up in the next month or so.

Expanding my portfolio and working to make my photos the best they can be in the next step I want to take.

On a personal level, I am hoping to go to some last minute places in the UK before I leave. I finally have a break from school and work to do some last minute exploring and I can't wait to see a little bit more of this beautiful country.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
