Woman Crush Wednesday #1: Perrie Edwards

Stole the idea from Instagram obviously, but flipped it to focus on style. I am going to try and do one every week!

From day one, I have always been a fan of Little Mix's Perrie Edwards and her style. I never really watched the X-Factor, but the way her clothes are put together (and her beautiful hair) has always intrigued me. Perrie's casual looks are always so laid back while still looking incredible on her body and still managing to stand out. Plus, her clothes are actually affordable! Most of her casual clothes come from stores like American Apparel, River Island and TopShop. I am all about throwing outfits together that are both easy and comfortable (and not too pricey), but don't stray to the boring side.

With Perrie being only a year older than me, she gives me so many ideas on how to dress my age while still managing to have a little fun - the overalls, graphic tees, boots and high waisted shorts are a MUST in my wardrobe.

Casual Outfits:

Outfit #1: Jumpsuit Power - A lot of jumpsuits really don't do the curves of the body any favors, they can really be unflattering. This jumpsuit, however, looks flawless on Perrie. I love it when she wears dark colors because it really compliments her fair skin and GORGEOUS silver hair. The print on the fabric is just so pretty and the big belt shows off her little waist so nicely. I am normally against rosaries being worn as jewelry, but the necklace looks really nice with the outfit (its the perfect length and color).

Outfit #2: Airport Overalls - The overalls are perfect. I love a good pair of overall shorts and Perrie's simple tshirt makes them stand out. I love the little belt addition (I would have never thought of that) that keeps the overalls from screaming "Farmer Joe" and I am dying to get my hands on a pair of jelly shoes like the pair she is wearing. The look is young and gives off that cute and innocent kid vibe - it's just adorable.

Outfit #3: More Floral Please - Her shirt is to die for. I am such a sucker for anything and everything floral print. The colors of the top go so nicely with the color of her jeans (which are amazing). The color palet gives me a retro vibe and the mocassins added to the feet make the whole look completely effortless and beautiful. I am all for ponytails these days and Perrie's hair looks really good slicked back (I love the messy roots).

Red Carpet Looks

Outfit #4: Nude and Sheer - I am really not a fan of those types of skirts (I think it should either be short or a maxi, not both), but the cut is actually really flattering on Perry and makes the outfit look more dressy. The color palet on this look is perfect - I love the bold red from the top and the nude of the rest of the skirt. The pop of the black from the shoes to match the detailing of the dress adds a little more edge and really brings the outfit together. Detailed tops and solid colored skirts are one of my favorite looks at the moment.

Outfit #5: Lavandar Lovely - I am overly obsessed with this dress. Though it is a tad short for my taste, the cut and color looks flawless on Perry. The white pumps give the look an even more girly vibe and I love Perrie's flower crown fashion she rocks on different occasions. Before I saw this look, I figured that she would be unable to wear clothes this color because of her hair, but the colors don't clash at all. This is definitely my favorite look Perrie has worn on the carpet.

Outfit #6: This Is Us...In Black - I fell in love with this dress the second I saw it. Its so classy and sophisticated without being completely boring. The slicked back pony tail allowed the look to be a little more casual and kept her from looking like she was going to an over the top awards show. The black earrings and accessories really brought the entire look together, but its her silver hair that does it for me - her hair color and black look the best when paired together.
