No outfit post today because I literally just threw stuff on and my hair is turning back to blonde so I need a toning session tonight.
I made a post about the hair products (here) I used a while back, but I have picked up some new ones that I thought I would share with you guys!
Fudge's Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo
Now, I have used a ton of different purple shampoos to get my hair the color it is now and back when I had blonde hair. This is by far my favorite! It is the first purple shampoo that doesn't dry out my hair or scalp and works right away! My last shampoo, Matrix's So Silver Shampoo, took a very long time to get rid of the brassiness that was in my hair and dried it out really bad! I have to special order Fudge's Clean Blonde because it is only sold overseas, but it is so worth it. If you are looking for a shampoo that will take the yellow tones out of my hair, leave it smelling good and does the job right away - I would highly recommend picking this one up!
Not Your Mother's Beach Babe: Texturing Sea Salt Spray
This is the second sea salt spray I have used and I must say, it is a lot better than my first one. I was previously using Got 2 Be's Beach Trippin' Waving Spray, but it caused my hair to be sticky and didn't have the best scent with it. Beach Babe, however, leaves my hair feeling light and smelling GREAT. Plus, it actually does the job and gives my hair the volume and texture I have been looking for. I picked this up at Urban Outfitters (they carry a lot of this brand's products) for only eight dollars!
Batiste's Dry Shampoo
Yes Yes Yes! Finally a dry shampoo that does the job and smells AMAZING. I originally picked up this little bottle so I could get free shipping on my waver and I am so glad I picked it up. For a college student, sometimes my hair is a little dirty and I don't find the time to wash it! This is the perfect product to carry around in my bag for emergencies. It works wonders and their dry shampoos come in some amazing scents, this one happens to be in "Blush". I picked this up at Walgreens, but Urban Outfitters sells this as well! I am sure a ton of other places do as well. I was hoping to grab their XXL Volume Dry Shampoo and give that a go, but they were sold out! So hopefully in the future I can try that as well!
TIGI Bed Head's Dual Waver
I have been searching high and low for ways to give my hair more texture and volume. The sea salt spray is GREAT, but I needed just a little more as well to get my hair to where I wanted it to be. I was looking at some Youtube tutorials and came across hair wavers, a styling tool I literally had never heard of before. After watching a few videos, I was sold and I ordered one for about twenty five dollars. It works magic! It is an easy and not so time consuming way to really give my hair the texture and volume I have been searching for these past few weeks. Bed Head always has great products and this waver is perfect. I can alter it and get big waves and small ones and the different heating settings is really helpful.
Top: before the waver
Bottom: After the waver
I am still working on getting the right settings and style to really get my hair to the style I want it to which is going to take practice, but I am so glad I snatched the Dual Waver up!
