This is basically a blog post dedicated to me lusting over clothing.
I like to forget that Molly was in Secret Life because that's just embarrassing, but her hair - ugh, talk about hair envy.
I love Andie's mix of thrifted and handmade clothing pieces and the beautiful costume jewelry. Some of the things she wears are quite matronly, but she makes it so youthful. Ugh and the layers of different colors and textures - THAT IS MY FAVORITE THING EVER.
This is my favorite outfit she wore in the whole movie. The cute lace up kitten heel shoes with the light pink socks and THOSE PANTS that are to die for. I love the embellished blue cardigan that is paired with the layered white crocheted shirt and the pink top underneath it. Just everything about this outfit is pure perfection. I just want this outfit basically.
Ugh, just so classic.
And then there is Duckie Dale
I am still looking for a man that dresses like this. There is literally no consistency, nothing matches and some of the clothes don't even fit him correctly, but I love it. I love that Duckie looked messy, but put together at the same time - he dressed however the fuck he wanted and made it work. You gotta love the Duckster.
And for the past three years, I have been search for the perfect Sloan jacket from Ferris Bueller - the white tassels and shoulder pads scream 80's and literally every time I watch this movie, I fall more in love with the jacket. I would easily wear this everyday.
I drive so much of my fashion inspiration from the 80's and 90's - the patterns and mixing of colors and pieces - everything was just so beautiful. These two eras catered to the times where people could use clothing to express the type of person they were. They wore whatever the fuck they wanted and made it work. TAKE ME BACK TO WHEN DRESSING LIKE A GRANDMA WAS COOL.
