Tunes Tuesday: Mad Sounds

YIKES! I haven't updated this in a week! I apologize, life has been busy! Since it was Tuesday, I felt the need to do a Tunes Tuesday for you guys! So you can check out my new 8Tracks playlist called Mad Sounds that has current tracks and artists I have been listening to these past few weeks!

Listen to the Mad Sounds playlist -----> HERE.

Albums to check out:
From Indian Lakes' Able Bodies
These guys opened up for The Maine last month and I saw them back in April when they were on the road with Lydia. I finally decided to give their new album a listen to and honestly, I have been jamming it a lot lately. If you are looking for a band that is a cross between The Maine and Lydia, these are the guys for you. From Indian Lakes is an up and coming band so jump on the bandwagon while you can! They have the perfect balance between soft and upbeat jams, everything I look for in an album.

Arctic Monkeys' AM
This is without a doubt one of my favorite releases of the year. While their first album will always be my favorite, this release is such a step up from Suck It and See. R U Mine? is a track that I probably play at least three times a day. This band has always been one of my favorites and AM is the perfect example of what kind of band they are. They haven't lost their sound, but have cranked it up a notch. As the perfect indie rock album for the fall, I HIGHLY recommend it! And make sure to look at their tour dates, they could be coming to a city near you this fall (I am definitely trying to go to Portland and see them!)

Little Mix's Salute
So I cheated and snagged this album before it is officially out in America, but I couldn't resist. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for girl and boy bands, Little Mix being no exception. Salute is like six steps up from their first album release. The harmonies are stronger, the lyrical content and subject matter is more mature and their new R&B sound is something I LOVE. Each girl in this band is as talented as the next and their vocal abilities blow me (take Perrie's high note in "About a Boy"). And of course, I am all about the "girl power!" attitude that this album holds (listen to the album's title track). Crossing my fingers that I will get to see these ladies in February when they are on tour with Demi Lovato because well, shit, they are pretty darn talented.
