With award show being over and such, I decided to do a post on my favorite red carpet dresses of all time. These are the gowns that are forever in my head when I think of red carpet fashion. When I saw them, I instantly fell in love.
5. Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab
2009 Academy Awards
I will never forget this dress. Angelina Jolie in a black dress is the law and this dress was the perfect fit on her. The emerald green earrings and pulled back hair made this look 100% sophisticated and unforgettable. Angelina is classic.
4. Taylor Swift in Reem Acra
2009 CMA Awards
Taylor always has one of my favorite award show looks and this dress is absolutely stunning. The delicate hair and beautiful gold color against her complexion caused her to completely radiate off the carpet. I am a sucker for sweetheart necklines.
3. Lupita Nyong'o in Prada
2014 Academy Awards
I talked about this dress on my post for this year's Oscars fashion which you can read here. This will forever be one of my favorites. The color of this dress is gorgeous and I have never seen someone look so flawless. The color pops perfectly with her skin tone and this gown flows perfectly. I love everything about it.
2. Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia
2013 Grammy Awards
THIS DRESS THIS DRESS THIS DRESS. Red dresses are my favorite and not only does this gown drape beautifully, but the top allows for the perfect amount of skin to be revealed but still being completely modest. I am always a fan of Rihanna in red and the natural looking hair brings this entire look together.
1. Michelle Williams in Vera Wang
2006 Academy Awards
A lot of people don't remember this dress, but this is the first gown that comes to mind when I think of red carpet fashion. The color is beautiful and I love the old hollywood style with it. The color is perfect on Michelle's skin and the fringe on the top really brings this gown together. I am normally not a fan of yellow, but oh how I wanted this dress for prom. More people need to remember this.
