Review: Lou Teasdale's "The Craft"

Hello guys! Now as you know, I am a huge fan of stylist Lou Teasdale. I have talked about her in a few different posts and how she has helped me find some of my favorite hair and makeup products that I use every day!

She recently released a book "The Craft" that is basically the Style Bible. I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite parts and pages of the book without giving too much away because you need to go out and buy it!
First off, I would just like to talk about the layout and visual aspect of this book. As someone who is a visual artist and loves the clash of patterns and colors on a page, the styling behind this book is basically a wet dream for me. I love the clutter and busy pages - there is a such a fun and 90's vibe to them. It is spectacular.

"The Craft" discusses a ton of different things regarding style - hair, makeup, beauty, nails, tattoos and so. Lou even gets to the nitty-gritty on how to break into the industry.
Her tips on using hair accessories will come especially handy this summer. As a girl who doesn't like to style her hair that much, I love adding different accessories like clips and scrunchies. They are fun, quirky and give your hair a little extra something. These photos are to die for. This is definitely bringing the 90's back (was I the only one that used the hair braiding twist machine that basically just ripped my hair out? No, okay)
Now, obviously, this is a very helpful page. As a girl with platinum blonde hair, maintaing it is the biggest pain in the ass in the world, but it is honestly a process I love to do. The tips in this page are very helpful for anyone that is looking to achieve this hair style!

Side note: I will be making a blogpost sometime soon on how to maintain silver hair!

The spider lashes page is great. I am a huge mascara person and while, this page has a pretty basically explanation on how to achieve the spider lashes - I find it so fun! I might have to get my hands on that mascara. Spider lashes are essential.

There are a lot of other tips in this book that are far out there - achieving non-tranny fake lashes, the perfect color mascara, how to fake tan and not look fake, etc. Some of the tips in this book I will probably never try because they are out there, but this book is truly universal for anyone. There is a lot you can take out of this book and I would highly encourage that you check it out!
