I was introduced to a lot of new things over the holiday season that have been part of my everyday routine in the new year!
The Body Shop's Body Butters (Vanilla Brulee)
I have heard so many great things about The Body Shop's body butters, but could never commit to spending $20 bucks on a tub. I ended up scoring one of their seasonal scented body butters for $5 and I have about used it all up. Their body butters are incredibly thick and moisturizing and this particular scent is sweet, but doesn't clash with my perfume which is something I am always worried about. Since it is a seasonal scent, I wont be able to pick up another one (I'm so upset) so if you have recommendations on what scent I should try next, let me know!
Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner (in Trooper)
This is without a doubt the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used. It is so easy to apply, dries quickly and stays on ALL DAY. As someone who uses eyeliner basically everyday, I am so glad this product has come into my life. It runs for about $18, but it's so worth it. The brush allows for a smooth and even application and the ball inside of the tube allows for product to easily reach the brush and so far, it hasn't shown any signs of drying out!
Simple's Replenishing Rich Moisturizer
I have had a bad run with broken out and dry skin over these cold months and this is third or fourth face moisturizer I have used that hasn't broken me out. I apply a thin layer after I have washed my face in the morning and right before I go to bed. This product doesn't leave my skin flakey and the lack of scent doesn't cause my skin to sting or get irritated. It also dries fairly quickly so I don't have to wait too long before I start to apply my makeup! If you are looking for a gentle moisturizer to get you through until the warmer months, definitely pick this up.
Voluspa's Santiago Huckleberry Candle
This is probably one of the best smelling candles I have ever come across. I was introduced to this just last week by my cousins and it honestly smells so lovely. It's not made of beeswax, but of coconut wax which allows for a way longer burn time. I have recently become OBSESSED with candles and am so happy I know about this brand of candles now. You can buy these candles at Anthropologie, but they are about half the price at Kitson which is where I got mine.
FKA Twigs' LP1
I came across FKA Twigs a while back and just now got to downloading her latest album, LP1. If you are looking for an artist that truly has her own style and an incredible voice, definitely check her out. This album has basically been played on repeat for the past few weeks and I just can't get enough of it.
Friends
I mean, this should be a given right? I am just about to wrap up the entire series and it hasn't even been on Netflix for a full month! Friends is just a classic show to watch when you are sad or you just need something on in the background.
