The Cannes Film Festival is whole other world and I am constantly getting sucked into different fashion and events going on. I hope that this will become a series of my favorite fashion looks from different events during this year's Cannes Film Festival.
AmfAR's Cinema Against Aids Gala
Sienna Miller in Ralph Lauren
Sienna is one of my style icons and as you will come to see, her Cannes looks are some of the best I have seen in a long time. This dress is incredibly simple, but sexy and the pop of the red lip shows off her beauty. I am a big fan of metallic dresses and the simple silhouette of this gown is jaw dropping.
Gigi Hadid in Tom Ford
I love the play of fabric and skin with this look. Gigi looks incredibly sophisticated while still tastefully showing off her cleavage. Gigi has always kept her makeup simple and it really allows her true beauty to come through. The tan heels with the creamy white dress keep the look for appearing overdone.
Diane Kruger in Chanel
Diane also had a few of my favorite Cannes looks this year, including this one. The entire collection that this dress is from is incredible and I was so happy to see someone in one of the designs. The look is playful with the feathered skirt, but still holds that true Chanel style to it. This look with the dress could have easily been over styled, but the relaxed hair and simple black strappy heels accent the detailed garment.
Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Collection
This is my favorite color on Kendall. I think it suits her dark features perfectly. Not to mention the fit is incredible. The material of the skirt allows for some drama against the simple top and this dress honestly looks incredibly comfortable. The simple hair and jewels allows for the drama and color of the dress to really come out and catch the eye.
Lily Donaldson in Saint Laurent
Dakota Johnson wore this exact dress in white with black trim to one of the Fifty Shades premieres and I have been in love with it ever since. The design is simple, yet the fit and plunging neckline allows for a hint of sexiness. This is a gown that a lot of people can wear and pull off and Lily looks incredibly beautiful in this. I love a good black dress and the pairing of the jacket leaves the ensemble look tailored and elegant.
Jourdan Dunn in Vera Wang
The color is what really stuck me with this gown. It's such a unique and pretty blue that I have seen on a lot of dresses before. This was one of my favorite Cannes looks on Jourdan. The gown fits all of the curves of her body so well and the rich blue compliments her skin tone and hair color. Vera Wang hasn't always been my favorite in terms of gowns, but this one has stolen my heart.
Barbara Palvin in La Perla Atelier
Red dresses are my guilty pleasure. It's such a beautiful color that looks so incredible on a lot of different people. Not only does this dress show off Barbara's amazing body, but the detailing of the sleeves is incredible. I only wish that the entire sleeve was sheer and didn't have those wrist cuff things at the bottom. Overall the pop of color and construction of the gown was elegant and fun for the event.
Chanel Iman in Zuhair Murad Couture
I fell in love with this gown on the runway and I was so excited to see someone wearing it in real life. This was definitely a fashion moment for Chanel. The detailing of the white flowers is true to Zuhair Murad fashion and the silhouette of the gown is what really made me fall in love. The plunging neckline, the long sleeves and the dramatic draping of the skirt allow for the perfect formal gown for anyone.
Karolina Kurkova in Alexis Mabille
This dress honestly reminds me of Barbie which is why I fell in love. The soft pink color and the shaping of the sweetheart neckline makes the perfect classic gown for any event. This, again, is a gown that so many people could wear and look amazing in. And the gown has pockets so what more could you ask for?
Part two will be up on Wednesday and three will be up Friday!
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
