2015 Cannes Film Festival Series: Part 2 - Miscellaneous Appearances and Events

Make sure to check out part one of my Cannes Film Festival coverage ---> HERE.

Barbara Palvin in Versace
This was Barbara's best look at this year's Cannes. The dress is dark and dramatic and flows beautifully. Pairing that with the heavy cat eye and the dangling earrings, this looks so glamorous and was a great contrast from the bright red gown she wore to the amfAR event. I love the sheer top with the chest cut outs, it's a different silhouette than you normally see on the carpet.

Diane Kruger in Dolce & Gabbana
This is such a simple yet incredibly classic look. The collection this piece came from was one of my favorites as fashion week (see here) and the powder blue color looks amazing with Diane's features and blonde hair.

Rachel Weisz in Narciso Rodriguez
I love a good black pantsuit and the way this is styled really works for me. The entire piece fits her perfectly and I love her slicked back dark hair. Of the more "casual" looks at Cannes, this was definitely one of my favorites. Especially with the accent of the gold jewelry and soft pink lip.

Fan Bingbing in Marchesa
This was definitely the biggest WOW moment for me at Cannes this year. If you have been following this blog for a while, you know that I fell in deep deep love with this gown when it was shown at fashion week (see here). This dress is worn so incredibly by her. It truly is a one of a kind design and the pale blue and layering and placement of the flowers keeps it so feminine and light. The only thing that bothers me about this look is the floral crown Fan is wearing. With the amount of detailing on the gown, I don't think the crown was needed.

Zoe Kravitz in Valentino
Zoe never disappoints me on the carpet and this dress looks gorgeous on her. The dress appears to be so lightweight and it fits her like a glove. Zoe wore a different white dress earlier in the week, but I really do like this one more. The fit of the top with the cut outs on the side are so beautiful and the sheer fabric and draping of the skirt makes it look like she is just floating down the carpet.

Emma Stone in Oscar de la Renta
I just think this dress is so cute. I have always been a fan of little black lace dresses and the strapless neck of the dress layered with the scoop neck styled lace keeps the dress youthful and fun. Emma could wear anything and I would probably love it, this was also another good "casual" look for Cannes.

Araya Hargate in Ashi Studio Couture
It took me a while to appreciate this gown because I felt like she was so covered up. However, the detailing of the top is what really sold me. The weaving pattern on the sleeves, chest and neck truly makes the dress extra special. The silhouette of the entire gown has a vintage, old Hollywood vibe and I love it.

Kendall Jenner in Azzedine Alaia
This is such an odd piece to look at at first. but Kendall wears it so well. There weren't a ton of two piece looks on the Cannes red carpets this year and I think these pieces are incredibly youthful and perfect for Kendall. This wasn't as big of a WOW moment for her as her amfAR look, but I still adore this.

Sienna Miller in Sonia Rykiel
Sienna had my favorite gowns and looks for this year's Cannes and I am sure there will be a WCW post on her in the future because she is one o my style icons. I have never been a huge fan of star patterns, but by having those accents black as well as the rest of the material, it all really works for me. It adds another dimension that keeps the gown looking like just another black dress. I love the collar and cape like draping of the top layer, it makes her look very sophisticated.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
