The 2015 Tony Awards were this week and here is a quick little post on my favorite looks from the night!
Elisabeth Moss in Oscar de la Renta
I love the contrast between the white dress and the colors of the flower detailing. It looks incredibly fresh and immediately stuck out as a Oscar de la Renta piece the second I saw it. The silhouette is simple and classic, the detailing of the top following true de la Renta style. The entire look was kept incredibly natural with the pop of color on the lips that matched the pink of the flowers. It was the perfect spring/summer look to see.
Hilary Rhoda in Michael Kors
The design on the top is what I fell in love with. The top shoulder piece is a black sequins which adds the perfect amount of detailing to the structured gown. The red skirt adds the perfect pop of color and allows the black design of the top to really stand out.
Taylor Schilling in Michael Kors
This was one of my favorite looks of the night because the cut out around her hips and stomach was incredibly unique. It added a lovely contrast between her skin and black fabric that covered up the rest of her body. It was extremely elegant with that perfect edge to it, leaving it as the perfect black gown with a twist.
Vanessa Hudgens in Naeem Khan
The whole styling of this look is what I fell in love with. I love the bright coral lipstick she wore to match the palette of the gown and the modern milk braids kept the look from appearing too overdone since the dress is so extravagant. This is a great dress for the spring and summer and the pattern was unlike anything else on the carpet that night.
Kat Dennings in Rhea Costa
This is the gown that I would most likely wear. It is an incredibly simple but elegant black dress and I fell in love with it the moment I saw her in it. I love the relaxed tulle skirt with the lace detailing on the top. This is a gown that would flatter so many different people and body types.
Annaleigh Ashford in Zac Posen
The color of this is to die for! I am not a huge fan of green gowns but this is just the perfect color. I love the signature Posen sweetheart neckline with the structured fitted top, you can't go wrong with that classic design. The dress is incredibly feminine and fits her like a glove.
Bella Hadid in Prabal Gurung
Bella is such a classic beauty and I am a fan of everything she wears. I love the contrast between the cream and black of the gown and it's simplistic design. The pulled back hair and dangly earrings really showcase her beautiful face and you really can't go wrong with a gown as simple as this.
Jennifer Lopez in Valentino Couture
J.Lo has been killing it on the carpet this year. She used to be so predictable when it came to her red carpet wear and I am so glad she has branched out with different looks and designs. This most certainly isn't the first time she has been on one of my top red carpet looks. As a Valentino design, the metallic detailing of the gown is absolutely incredible and pops so well with the navy blue of the dress. From the fabric to the structure, there is not one thing wrong with this gown. The deep burgundy lips compliment the colors well and this is easily one of my favorite looks she has worn all year.
Rose Byrne in Delpozo
I love anything and everything Delpozo. I fell in love with this designer over the past year and a half and I am so glad Rose wore one of the designs on the carpet. The bright red is a signature color for Delpozo and the balance between the zipper, the detailing of the sleeves and the deep v-neck leaves the gown look sophisticated and fun. This might just be my favorite look of the night.
Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Collection
This is such an unusual color for Kendall and I love it. The dress reminds me of the late 90's/early 00's and I can't help but wish I had the dress for myself. Since it is so bright and color and has a rich fabric, I am glad the small heels and casual wavy hair were there to accent to entire look. She looks youthful, fun and I will always be a fan of her red carpet looks.
