I have been trying some new products, as well as rediscovering old ones this month so let's get into it!
NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam
This is a holy grail product for me. I love a good, intense highlight and that is exactly what this product gives me. I can build it up or down depending on how I want to look for the day and it glides onto my skin perfectly. It has a pink tone to it which suits my skin tone and really brightens up my entire face. It has a really long lasting power which is something I always need when it comes to makeup. I can't imagine my makeup routine without this product.
Barry M Nail Paint
I bought a few of the Barry M nail polish when I arrived in London because I didn't pack any polishes with me. I had heard so many good things about the Barry M varnish ranges so I was eager to try them!
Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in "In A Heartbeat": This is the perfect pink color! It's not too bright and not too subtle, it's just a really nice bubblegum pink to have on my nails. The formula is great and dries really quick and it lasts about a week on my nails. I will definitely be buying more from this range.
Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in "Chai": This is a grey polish that I bought because I thought it suited for the winter. I have only worn it once, but the formula is definitely interesting. While it lasts a really long time on my nails once it's dry, the formula is very thick and hard to apply. This is definitely a polish that you can only use when you don't have anything to do and have the patience to evenly put the paint on your nails.
Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in "Prickly Pear": This is such a nice purple color and I love using it. It's not too dark of a purple and has a vibrance to like it that I really enjoy. Like the polish I just mentioned, this is from the Gelly Hi Shine line so the formula is very difficult to apply. I will only attempt to use this polish when I know I am not doing anything that could mess them up when they are drying!
Classic Nail Paint in "Black": Just a classic black color that I needed back in my life. The formula glides onto the nail really well and it has a very shiny finish which I love.
Provoke Touch of Silver Hair Series
Bless the UK for having such easy access to AMAZING toning shampoos and conditioners. In the states, I have to special order my shampoo online so I am so happy I am able to just pop into Boots or Superdrug and pick this stuff up.
Pre-toing primer: I use this on my hair in the shower when it's wet and I am about to shampoo. The product helps to soothe the hair cuticles and get them prepped before the toning shampoo. It's great for someone like me who has damaged hair!
Brightening Shampoo: I haven't used this product a ton yet because I just recently finished my holy grail toning shampoo (Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Color Save Silver Shampoo), but the pigment of this shampoo is just as dark as Schwarzkopf which is a good sign. I mixed in this shampoo with a hair mask overnight and my hair was lilac and toned the next morning.
Intensive Conditioner: I have never been big on toning conditioners because I normally just put on a hair mask to really give my hair the extra nutrients it needs. This does a great job at not only toning my hair even more and protecting the color, but it also conditions my hair very nicely! I switch on and off with this and a hair mask, but I am very impressed.
Bleach London Reincarnation Mask
I have been dying to try this product for over a year, but I am only able to get in the UK. These are included in all of the hair kits you buy from Bleach London so I was very excited to give it a go. Not only does it smell incredible, but it does wonders on my hair. It really nourishes and brings my hair and scalp back to life after dyeing and bleaching and doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or completely fried. I brought a hair mask from home and already find myself reaching for this one more. I can already tell I am falling in love with this product and don't know what I am going to do when I go back to the states without having access to it!
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara in "Blackest Black"
I picked up this mascara on a whim because I think I had a coupon and find myself reaching for it everyday. It's been in my bag for a really long time and it was never used so finally one day I decided to pick it up. It has a great, big wand which allows for really dramatic lashes. The application is always applied evenly with this product and I don't have to worry about it clumping or looking too heavy. It is definitely not a mascara I would use on my "natural" days, but it gives a great amount of volume and length to your lashes!
The 1975's "Love Me"
I was on The 1975 boat for a long time, but fell off because I was tired of listening to the same batch of songs over and over again. I was very skeptical about their new album because I didn't know what to expect after all of this time. I listened in to BBC when the song premiered and was hooked after about ten seconds. It just has such a good vibe - it's a definite more happy, cheery 1975 which is amazing to hear. It has a good 80's pop vibe which I really like and the message behind the song is both humorous and definitely something I would expect to hear from them. I listen to this song everyday and I probably will up until their February release.
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
