So deciding whether or not to keep my hair color while in the UK was difficult because I spent over two years perfecting the products and process of maintaining my hair color and roots. All of the hair products I use in the US to dye and tone my hair are not available here and are very pricey to get shipped if I bought them on the internet. I decided to try and keep the hair color I have which meant trying new products. I thought I would do a review of the products I used this past day and what I thought about the finished product.
Bleach London's Total Bleach Kit and White Toner
Total Bleach Kit: I was very skeptical about this because I need very strong bleach to lift my natural color which is very dark brown. I bought two boxes of this and ended up using both, but I was actually really impressed with how much it was able to lift each time. The first bleach left my roots a very dark yellow/light orange color and the second bleach left them light banana yellow which is the normal colors I have when I use my bleach products at home. I would repurchase this again because it did exactly what I wanted it to.
White Toner: I would never in a million years buy this product again. It did NOTHING to tone the color of my hair. I do realize that my hair needs to be really light for the toner to take and it was light so to me, this isn't a strong enough toning product. I even toned it twice and it just didn't give any sort of results. Very disappointing.
Because the toner was such an upset and I am having a hard time find a different toner to get the faint yellow color out of my roots, I have decided to go purple until I can find the perfect toner in the UK! I have been itching to do a color for a while and this is a color that will come out of my hair easily and even tones it for me.
Bleach London's Violet Skies
This is a lovely color for my hair. It is light and not too overpowering and isn't too vibrant which I really didn't want. Since its non-permanent, it was very gentle on my hair and easy to apply. This is definitely the color I will be using until I get my toning situation under control.
And this is the new hair color! It's light and subtle and will do for the winter time until I am dying to get my grey hair back. Overall, I am impressed with Bleach London's range of products and accessibility since they can be found at most Boots, but that toner needs to go. It has to be the worst toner I have ever used.
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
