The Magic of Rimmel London

Over the past few months, I have noticed that my makeup collection has slowly began to have a lot more Rimmel London products. As a college student (who is now in between jobs), I don't particularly like to spend a ton of money on makeup products. (Hair products, however, is a whole other story).

Over the years, I have noticed Rimmel London gain in popularity over here in the United States. Up until about twoish years ago, I had no idea that this brand even existed! And over this past year, they have really redone their brand and given it a big face lift and I am becoming obsessed with what their brand has to offer in beauty and makeup!

For a drugstore brand, Rimmel London is quality, inexpensive and has a lot to offer. So I thought I would share with you guys the five Rimmel London products I am currently using! (Some of these might look familiar from past posts I have made!)

Glam'eyes Professional Liquid Liner (Black)
I started using this liner forever ago and it is the first liquid liner I have been able to apply without having a major crisis on my hands. I am TERRIBLE at applying liquid liner, but the wand's shape and size allows me to apply the liner fast and evenly (I only wear liquid on my top lids). The liner lasts all day and I don't have to worry about it cracking.
I used to use the liquid liner from E.L.F. because it was inexpensive, but you get what you pay for and I found myself having to reapply halfway through the day and it would smudge!
This liquid liner runs at about $4 at a drugstore and is worth the price. I have noticed that some liquid eyeliners are priced way higher than they should and this is one that I don't have to worry about touching up or smudging.
Stay Matte Primer (003)
I am not going to lie, I was never a huge fan of primers because I believed that they didn't work (I don't know what I was thinking). I was at a drugstore about a month ago with my friend and decided to give this a try on a whim - I am so glad I did. This is one of the first drugstore primers I have used and I have grown to love it. Since it's summer time, I don't want to have too much heavy makeup on my face. This primer is extra light and really allows for my foundation to stay on all day long!
In the past, I normally have put on extra foundation to make sure it lasted all day and with this, I don't have to worry about it anymore! Now, while I haven't tried a whole lot of different primers yet, I love this one!
Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara (Black)
This mascara was featured on my April Obsessions post (here) and I am still using it! Now, I hoard mascara and it's a really bad habit, but I literally would use four or five different ones to try and get the lashes I was searching for.
Once I purchased this one, however, I threw away all of my other mascaras! The wand on this is huge and allows for evenly spaced and thick lashes to be created quickly. Now, I am always rushing to get my makeup done by the time I get to my lashes and this mascara allows me to get the job done quick and easy. If you are looking for a messy black lashes look - this is the perfect mascara for you.
Side note: Last month, L'Oreal Paris's Miss Manga Mascara was featured on my May Obsessions (here) and yes, I still use that mascara! I, however, use this one a little more when I want extra big lashes!
Stay Matte Pressed Powder (Translucent)
I have probably tried ten thousand different powders and this was the first one I could form a strong opinion on. After hearing great reviews about it, I picked this up and have been using it ever since. It's light and doesn't leave my face feeling heavy and really does keep my face from getting too shiny! And the best part is that I don't have to use a lot of it! In the past, I felt like I had to use way too much powder to really get the look I wanted and with this products, just a few dabs and I am good to go!
Match Perfection Light Perfecting Foundation (Light Nude)
I originally was out for Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Foundation and was disappointed when I found out that they don't sell it in the US yet! A part from my Stila Foundation, I like to have a drugstore foundation to use on off days and make my expensive makeup last a little longer. For the summer, I was looking for a light foundation (with SPF) that would still have a lot of coverage to it and this works wonder. I only have to use a little bit and it really sets on my face well and leave my skin looking pretty darn natural. Out of all of the drugstore foundations I have used (I used to use CoverGirl's Clean Foundation), this is my favorite so far!

Look out for my June obsessions post this week!

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
