Milan Fashion Week Part 2

And here are my favorite collections from Milan! Check out part one ---> HERE.

3. Roberto Cavalli

There were so many different styles to this collection that I really enjoyed, but the white lace looks that appeared midway through had me sobbing into the computer screen. Each piece had such a strong and structured design, but the crisp white and incorporation of the pleats and lace really softened each garment. There were hot pants, dresses, skirts, trousers, vests and more that rocked the soft white lace style and it all worked! Give me anything with white lace and I will probably cry. While the white looks were my favorite, there was a play of colors throughout other parts of the collection I really enjoyed. Strips and stripes of different patterns and designs were put together to create beautiful dresses, but the color choices were really appealing to the eye despite the over the top and chaotic patterns going on. This collection had a mix of casual looks that involved denim, very feminine lace pieces and also posh and feathery pieces. It was a well rounded collection, but man, those white lace looks are something I will not forget.

2. Moschino

Moschino will forever be one of my favorite brands. A lot of people criticize its role in fashion week because of its over the top and untraditional way of doing things, but Jeremy Scott is a genius. This brand is a just a reminder to the fashion world that you don't always have to take things seriously. From Moschino to his own personal collection, Jeremy never disappoints and I wait every season for what he is going to do next. The Barbie theme of this season was incredible. Each look was so thoughtfully designed and planned - he really did take Barbie's clothes and turn them into wearable pieces. From evening gowns, dramatic coats, gym wear and simple dresses - the mark was hit on the head with every single look. This collection was fun, nostalgic and just plain brilliant. From the color schemes to the perfect Barbie pink, there wasn't a single look in this line that didn't cause me to laugh, my jaw to drop or my head to bow down at the brilliance Jeremy brings to the fashion world. As someone who isn't a fan of girly sequins or hot pink garments, give me any look from this collection and I feel like nothing short of perfection. Every season, I wonder how he is going to top what he did from seasons prior, but Jeremy always has on my toes and certainly never disappoints. Moschino is one of a kind and continues to bring some fun and life back into Fashion Week.

1. Dolce & Gabbana

If you don't fall in love with a single one of the eighty something looks that were a part of this collection, there is something seriously wrong. This line is dark, it's feminine, strong and romantic - it is absolute perfection. Straying heavily away from the spring colors to focus on black, white, hard metallics and the perfect red - there wasn't a single thing wrong with this collection. Dolce & Gabbana really pushed the envelope with this one - from youthful stripe and polka dot prints to romantic flowers to gold pieces fit for royalty - I find it very hard to find an imperfection. (Do your homework: look up the backstage photos from this collection and SEE the details of each look) Each ensemble has it's own concept, it's own influence and it's own message. This is the perfect kind of style for me - it's girly, but almost mysterious. With a Spanish bullfighting influence throughout the entire collection, there is something so richly sinful with this line that you can't help but love. Is it the royal gold, the blood red or the innocent white? Who knows - it all just works perfectly together and definitely leaves a sense of wonder and romanticism on the runway.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
