Best Dressed:
Pixie Lott in Versace
I love the latest Versace collections and this is such a classic look, but has that detail so you know it's a Versace piece. Her manicure adds a pop of color to the look while the black heels and clutch keep the eyes focused on the dress. It was casual yet perfect for the event.
James Bay in Burberry
This look is totally his style and there was no other suit that night like it. I loved the color of the fabric because it looked dark blue and black in different light and let's be honest, who doesn't love some velvet? I love the open collar look because it kept the suit from appearing too over styled. Top it off the hat and the boots and it's a perfect look.
Naomie Harris in Julien Macdonald
This yellow is such a beautiful color on her. Its a lavished design which is why I was glad it was cut into a mini because it had the perfect balance of fabric and skin showing. Kept simple with her hair and a little clutch, she looked so elegant and put together for the night's event.
Sam Smith in Dior Homme
The glasses might just be my favorite part. There is something about this whole look that I am in love with. The classic bowtie and patent leather shoes makes for the iconic red carpet suit. Sam kept it traditional for this event and it really worked in his favor.
Jourdan Dunn in Sonya Rykiel
Jourdan Dunn has done a complete 360 with her red carpet looks. I used to not be a fan and now she has consistently been on my favorites list. This dress is sexy, but still appropriate for the event and is definitely a memorable red carpet moment for Jourdan. She wears the dress with so much confidence and it has just enough sparkle where I don't feel overwhelmed. I would have liked to see different shoes with this look because it almost gets too matchy matchy, but its an incredible look overall.
Foxes in Hugo Boss
This is my ideal look for any red carpet. It's edgy, it's comfortable and it's simple. Not only do I love the color and beading of the dress, but I like that it is cropped above the ankle instead of down to the floor. She paired it with a leather jacket that allowed for her style to come through. Out of all the looks that night, this is one I would have worn. I would have liked to see softer, more beachy waves as opposed to curls because I think it would have fit better with the dress, but other than that, it was executed beautifully.
Worst Dressed:
Jemima Khan in unknown
I searched and could not find the designer and I would like to know who decided to make a dress that looked like this. I am all about lace, but this dress just really confuses me. The flare at the bottom with the long sleeves and layering of the lace just honestly makes the gown look incredibly cheap and poorly fitted.
Emilia Clarke in Oscar de la Renta
I NEVER hate anything by Oscar de la Renta, but this dress is just all wrong. It honestly looks like something I could find in the junior's section of a department store. I hate the fit and the silhouette along with the over the top color. Nothing about this works for me.
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
