2016 New York Spring Ready To Wear Coverage: Part 2

Marchesa
September 16th, 2015
I look forward to Marchesa's collections every season because they never fail to amaze me. There is no designer out there that is able to create such extravagant and feminine gowns like Marchesa. Each look truly stands on it's own and it becomes incredibly clear whether or not it is a true Marchesa design. From this collection, the soft white gowns were the showstoppers for me. They are so elegant, seem so light and would look amazing on anyone.

Naeem Khan

The detailing within this collection is what really made me fall in love. The contrast of colors and metallics show variety and each piece has such lavished detailing that it really does take my breath away. The bright yellows and reds were the power colors in this collection and are perfect for any spring time look.

Giles
September 21st, 2015
I discovered Giles a few seasons ago and I am so glad I did. While I do prefer Giles Couture because each piece is truly a work of art, I am in love with this ready to wear collection. Each look has an incredibly vintage feel with the mix of silhouettes and patterns and there are so many pieces in this collection that I would love to wear. They are fun, they are feminine and each piece has a statement. The floral prints are my favorite parts of this collection because they aren't the typical prints you see on the runway during for the spring season.

Burberry Prorsum
September 21st, 2015
Burberry can do no wrong. The dark color palette shown through most of the show really caters to my own aesthetic with clothing which is why I felt an instant connection with this collection. The pairing of "hard" fabrics like leather with softer items are perfect for the spring time. I am a huge fan of how they played with laces and patterns for this season because it gave a lot of variety to the collection.
While I did not attend the actual show, I was able to be outside when the show began and finished and it was honestly such an incredible experience. I will be talking more about what happened and who I saw in a future post this week.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
