The Northwest Dweeb Takes London: London Opportunities

I went to Abbey Road today and anyone that knows me knows this is a big deal. I was raised on The Beatles and learned how to be a fangirl from my father, the biggest Beatles fangirl there ever will be. It was very bittersweet visiting today without my dad because I know that he will never get to visit. I made sure to take loads of photos and pick up some souvenirs for him as a way to not only tell him I love him, but to also thank him for what he has done to make sure I got on that plane to London.

I've had more opportunities come my way this past month and a half than I have in twenty one years. I saw my first movie premiere, am going to my first album release party, my first awards show and so on. London has done nothing, but treat me incredibly well and while I have many months ahead of me here, I can already tell I never want to leave.

This past week plagued me with an extreme amount of homesickness, but today helped me realize that I am supposed to be here at this moment and I am supposed to be living my life like this. I miss all of my loved ones terribly, but for now, I've living more than I've ever lived before.

I've made so many good friends since I've been here and the memories just continue to pile up as the days tick on. I am so excited to see what the future has in store.

I am going to see one of my favorite bands, Catfish and the Bottlemen, for the first time tomorrow and I am so excited to be surrounded by thousands of people who love them as much as I do. The atmosphere at gigs here are very different than how they are in the states and getting to experience it is indescribable.

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
