Best Dressed at the Golden Globes.

As some of you may know, I get really into award shows - almost unhealthily obsessed. The Golden Globes were this past weekend and they had me on the edge of my seat because two of my favorite people were up for awards - Leonardo DiCaprio and Jared Leto - and they won!

Jared Leto's performance in Dallas Buyer's Club was nothing short of amazing. Jared has this amazing ability to literally portray each character with so much passion, its something I cannot even explain.

And Mr. DiCaprio - the love of my life since I was five years old. The Wolf of Wall Street was the most intense movie I have seen in a while just because of all that was going on. His portrayal in the film, however, was incredible. It literally had be sucked in the second the movie started. Leo never disappoints and he deserved that damn award. (Now let's get that Oscar).

Anyway, on to the fashion. There were many, many looks to take in this year so I narrowed it down to both my favorite male and female looks as well as the one dress that I hope it burned and never seen again.

5. Alex Ebert - I have been in love with him since the beginning of time. For those of you that don't know, Alex is in Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes. It might just be his whole messy look, but I love this suit on him. It's different and its SO him. Right down to the hot mess of hair, most probably will hate this look, but I adore it. The adorable collar of the shirt and vest give the suit that "old time" feel. I haven't been able to track down who made the suit!

4. Michelle Dockery in Oscar De La Renta - She always looks timeless at every awards show and the style of this dress is perfect on her. I love the subtle high-low style of the dress so you can see the simple kitten heels she has on. The beading and detailing of the dress is beautiful without overpowering the dress. The trend this year was a lot of blush and neutral tones and this off white really suits her skin tone.

3. Zooey Deschanel in Oscar De La Renta - When I saw this look, I thought it was going to be my favorite of the night and I do adore it. I am not the biggest fan of hers, but this color was MADE for her. I love the beading of the top that was matched with her heels and the soft tulle of the skirt give that soft look that I love. The detailing of the skirt is subtle and beautiful. The only thing that throws me off is the hair -if she lost the big flower, the look would be set. The flower makes the look too matchy matchy.

2. Olivia Wilde in Gucci -  YES. This color is FLAWLESS. The dress and clutch are so simple, but the entire look as a whole is, well, flawless. From the simple curled hair down to the baby bump hugging shape of the dress, I saw her in this and my jaw literally dropped. I love how a nude lip was paired with this - I could see someone trying to add a red lip and it would have clashed with the deep green of the dress. The long sleeves YES OLIVIA, YES.

1. Caitlin Fitzgerald in Emilia Wickstead - The color of this dress literally had me weeping into my pillow. This was definitely a color that wasn't seen anywhere else on the carpet and it is gorgeous on her! The orange of the shoes and the clutch give the blue that extra pop since they are contrasting colors and the simplicity of the hair doesn't make this outfit look overdone because it is a BIG dress. The shape of this gown is so timeless, I cannot get enough of that neckline.

Honorable Mention:
Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera (such a step up from last year)
Sara Paulson in Marchesa
Kate Mara in J. Mendel

Wall of Shame:
Aubrey Plaza in Oscar De La Renta - Honey, I know you played a teenager living in the 90's, but you don't need to remind people of their horrible prom dresses from that decade. This entire look is a mess. I am not at all a fan of the color palette and the skirt is just shaped really awkward. NO. NO. NO.

Short and sweet. I don't try and pretend that I am a fashion expert because I'm not - these were just the looks that caught my eye!
