The Grammys Red Carpet

Let us just talk about how bad my predictions were for yesterday's award show. I was hopeful, but not realistic. I literally got TWO correct. Oh well. I am more than stoked that Mack and Ryan went away with four (??) awards last night, but am a little booty hurt that Thrift Shop won over Tom Ford because that song is my shit.

Mack & Ryan's performance owned that night - it was incredible. I didn't stay up for the entire thing, but I watched some of it online and their performance of Same Love was incredible. Another favorite of the night was Taylor Swift's performance. Hate all you want, but All Too Well is my favorite song she has ever created so to watch her perform was amazing.

And Justin Timberlake was robbed.

But right now, I am here to talk about the fashion that was on the carpet last night.

5. Colbie Callait in Ezra Couture - I love the way this dress is designed. The beautiful detail at the top mixed with the high neckline and peek-a-boo slit diagonally down the top really makes the dress. The color looks great on her and the gold bag accessory gives it a little pop. I saw this dress during the live stream and instantly loved it. I didn't see a TON of red dresses last night so this added a little something to the carpet. I love how her hair is up, but I wish it had been done a little differently - the messy type bun doesn't really pair with the super glamourous dress.
4. Beyonce in Michael Costello - I love it when she wears white. The bright color contrasts so nicely on her beautiful skin and she looks like a goddess. I am normally not CRAZY about the see through lace type dresses, but this looks effortless on her. The dress fits her SO WELL (look at that booty) and the messy, short ombre hair with the bold red lips are perfect. Honestly, if this dress were on any other person, I would probably hate it. This gown was MADE for Beyonce, I swear.

3. Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka - In case you guys didn't know, I adore this girl. Her new bob is spectacular and I am SO glad she went for a black dress. Sometimes, she wears colored dresses and it really clashes with her hair. When she wears monochromatic looks, her hair stands out and she looks great! I love how the dress is so simple with the wild embellished shoulders. I would wear this dress any day and any time, it's form fitting and really flatters her body. Her skin caters to dark colors and black really compliments her style. Ugh, I am obsessed. I wasn't too crazy about the back, but I love the added chain to give the dress a little bit more detail.

2. Iggy Azalea in Elie Saab - I literally want to live in nothing but Elie Saab for the rest of my life. That is probably why I adore this look. I was surprised when Iggy stepped out on the carpet with this look because it is so natural, I wasn't expecting it at all. However, she looks stunning. The cut of the dress really shows off her figure and I love the simple and natural makeup along with the effortless slicked back hair. It's so pretty and sophisticated, I want Iggy to have more looks like this! Of course, the beading and embellishment on the dress is nothing short of extraordinary and I love the high neckline and sleeveless cut of the top - it really is a true, signature Elie Saab silhouette.

1. Taylor Swift in Gucci - I actually think I shed a tear when Taylor hit the carpet. I love EVERYTHING about this look. I normally am not a huge Gucci fan, but this is probably one of my favorite carpet looks Taylor has ever had. The beautiful silver, metallic color stood out on the carpet and I am obsessed with the silhouette - the circular neckline and short sleeves - it is perfect. The little belt detail on the waist really adds shape to Taylor's figure. I love that her hair was put back into a small pony because it really allows you to focus on the gown. The makeup was simple, but the matching silver eyeshadow highlighted Taylor's beautiful cat eyes - I just can't get enough.

Honorable Mention:
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Ciara in Emilio Pucci
Natasha Bedingfield in Christian Siriano

Worst Dressed:
Paula Patton in Nicolas Jebran - I literally hate zebra print more than anything in the entire world. It reminds me of those fifteen year old girls with their zebra phone cases and matching hoodies that parade around in their UGG boots and Starbucks Frapps, ya feel? Everything about this look is wrong. The har drives me insane and the fact that the bottom of the dress is see through kills me on the inside. And can we talk about the stupid neckline with the cut out tigers? I think a five year old designed this.

There is just so much YES in this photo.

And as for me, I am currently dealing with a stomach bug that caused me to have to call in sick for work. So I will be laying in bed doing homework for the rest of the night.
