I honestly don't check out too many of them and I really want to start. I am a late bloomer on all of this stuff (I literally just found out who Zoella was THIS WEEK. AHH). I am working on it and hopefully I will be able to come up with my content and cool things to post on here by looking at more and more bloggers!
I narrowed the list down to my six favorite fashion bloggers of the moment - one being my "Blogger On The Rise" so check 'em out below!
These aren't in any particular order,
1. LLYMLRS aka Lily Melrose aka Lily
Lily has been the only fashion blogger/vlogger I have consistently followed for the past few years. She started out as strictly a blogger and I used to always look at her posts for inspiration. We have pretty similar styles (hers is a tad more daring) but she is a blogger that really talks about EVERYTHING - clothes, makeup, styling tips, music and so much more. Lily is the reason for my undying love for anything TopShop and ASOS! I look forward to seeing her videos every time they are posted and am on her blog at least three times a day. Lily has such a free spirit and adorable personality - her advice has definitely helped me out a lot. Now take me to England so I can meet her!
2. Running In Wedges aka Nicole Alyse
Nicole Alyse or as I like to call "The Vintage Gypsy" is a blogger I discovered this summer when she did a few features with NYLON. Her blog has a little bit more of high end pieces so I love to look and indulge. She has the perfect way of mixing vintage with designer and is known for her sophisticated pieces as well as messy rocker looks. Her jewelry collection is what leaves me weeping - the RINGS she wears are perfection. Running In Wedges is definitely a blog I look at when I am looking at how to mix and match pieces from my wardrobe - this girl is fearless when it comes to pairing colors and items you wouldn't normally thing to pair together.
3. Life In Red Lipstick aka Abbey Egeland
I have been hair and style envious of Abbey since around late 2011. Her style is so simple yet so classic and sophisticated. Life In Red Lipstick is a blog I turn to when I am looking for a way to pair simple garments and pieces together because she does it so effortlessly. And can just talk about her hair? She makes me contemplate going back to brown! What I also adore about her blog is that she has the perfect mix between outfit posts, style ideas and personal photographs. Blogs can get rather redundant if they are constantly just outfit posts and such so it is nice to have a variety. I was beyond excited when Abbey began to make YouTube videos alongside her blogging - her makeup tutorials are so fun and inspiring!! Abbey is definitely a well rounded fashion blogger.
4. The Geek In Disguise aka Abby
So I have been following Abby's blog and Youtube channel for over a year and her photography for even longer. She is a fellow Seattle photographer that I have stalked for a long time, but we didn't actually meet until this week! (We better get that Justin selfie tonight!) She is honestly one of the most real and funny Youtubers I watch and her blog is crazily addicting because it has a mix of fashion, beauty, music, life and photography content. It has been awesome to watch her following increase of the past year or so and she is honestly a really fucking cool and talented person. Whether I need to read reviews on certain products or slowly cry over Alex Turner - Abby's blog, Youtube channel and Tumblr are my go to places!
And yah friends! I was featured on her blog a little while back. Check that out ---> HERE.
5. We Wore What aka Danielle Bernstein
Again, this is a no brainer fashion blogger. We Wore What is probably one of the pioneer street style blogs and I have been looking at Danielle Bernstein's looks for almost as long as Lily Melrose's content. Danielle has the perfect mix between items you can find at TopShop, H&M and ASOS and high end vintage and designer pieces. Her obsession with big sweaters, overalls and boots makes me weak because those are the three clothing items I love most - I definitely look at this blog when I am digging for inspiration on how to incorporate those pieces into an outfit. I am a huge fan of the statement pieces she always has whether its a big purse, an oversized jacket or the perfect pair of sunglasses. We Wore What is the blog to turn to for all kinds of style and outfit inspirations.
And this is a new category I am going to add to my blog:
Blogger on the Rise
This is a new thing I am going to start to showcase new and upcoming bloggers out in the world wide internet that have caught my eye and are off to a really good start!
There are a ton of bloggers out there that are just starting out (like myself) and this month I have decided to feature a blogger I recently discovered on Tumblr!
January 2014's Blogger on the Rise:
Mode Maven aka Caroline
At seventeen years old, Caroline and her outfit of the day posts first caught my eye a while back when I was scrolling through the fashion tag on Tumblr. I now check almost daily on if there are any new posts on her blog. Caroline and I share a pretty similar style (we both seem to have a love for anything denim, black boots and patterned pants). Her style is very well put together with pieces from Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, American Apparel, Zara, TopShop and more - the perfect affordable outfits we are all looking for. I am always looking for bloggers out there that have an easily affordable style (its perfect for my current college student status). Caroline does a perfect job of adding one statement piece to a simple outfit to really give it a little extra something, a trick I do myself as well! I love that she has pieces in her wardrobe that she wears fairly often, but always styles them in a completely different way to keep them new and fresh!
I cannot wait to see where she goes for the next coming year and if I could get my hands on her denim collection, that would be fabulous.
And there you have it! I could probably go on and on about all of these blogs, but then we would be here for ages! I will definitely have more content up tomorrow after I cry my eyes out over Justin Timberlake tonight!
But I want to hear from you guys! In the comments below, link me/tell me some of your favorite bloggers, vloggers and gurus out there - they can even be yourself! I want to see them all!!!
I hope all of you have a great Friday and talk to you soon!
