My secret to rocking a men's flannel is adding "feminine" accents around it. For starters, I immediately paired the flannel with my Wild Fox today that says "Let Love Rule" in very fancy and feminine writing. If you are a girl who thinks wearing flannel is too masculine (I don't really know why) doing simple things like adding a feminine shirt or a hot pink lipstick can really girl it up for you. I tend to pair my flannels with skirts and dresses mostly - yes, I am a huge fan of mixing flannel with floral patterns. Sue me.
I am wearing Wet N' Wild's 905D Smokin' Hot Pink lipstick and it is my go to lipstick when I really want to pair something bright with neutral and dark colors. For a drugstore brand, the lipstick holds really well and I find myself not having to apply it too many times throughout the day.
I currently have a terrible cold so my desire to actually style my hair is nonexistent which is where my savior comes in - the scrunchie. My friend hooked me up with about seven or eight super nice velvet scrunchies for Christmas and I literally have been wearing this black one since then. I will always be a 90's kid and the scrunchie side pony is literally the easiest hairstyle to do. One of my rules in life is to always have a scrunchie on hand (I carry two in my purse).
And thanks to my Mama Dowd for these super cute floral boots she snatched up for me for Christmas. They are lightweight and super comfortable and basically go with everything in my wardrobe.
I also needed new socks and I got five pairs for five dollars. Can't beat that. Tommo for life.
