Headed up to Seattle today to say goodbye to my cousin Erin who is off to Europe for a year! I am so stoked for her and I know she is going to learn so much and make so many memories. So here is a picture of me and her from 2010 (gotta love that all blonde hair on me).
The skirt and shoes I wore today were thrifted at my favorite Ballard Value Village. When I first saw the skirt, my sister thought it was the ugliest thing she had ever seen. But after cutting a few inches off it and hemming it myself, its one of my favorite floral skirts to wear because it is so bright and gives my dark outfits that pop of color it needs. I am 95% sure the shoes are actually men's shoes, but they are too comfortable for me NOT to wear them. And my "Kurt shirt" is probably the most comfortable shirt I own. I probably wear it once a week. Plus, with it being black and white - it basically matches anything!
My sister also picked up an amazing light purple OPI nail polish that I have been obsessed with this summer. Its light and fun and makes my ugly nails look somewhat decent. I also had to add a sparkly nail because I am secretly obsessed with sparkle nail polish! The light purple is OPI's Steady As She Rose and the purple sparkle polish is Sinful Color's 922 Frenzy. Both of which are available at Target. For a top coat, I used Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry Anti-Chip Top Coat. Sometime soon, I will probably make a post about my favorite polishes and the WONDERFUL cuticle cream I use.
I am not a huge makeup fanatic, but I might make a post about my makeup routine with the products I like and am not really a fan of! Maybe next week!
I also chopped off some of my bangs last night. I love having shorter bangs because they stay out of my face. But in the summer time, I contemplate bringing back the micro baby bangs because they make my forehead so hot!
