August Obsessions.

I don't know if it is just me, but this month flew by way too fast! Three weeks until I am back at school (ahhh!) I haven't really experimented with any new beauty products this months, but I have definitely became addicted to Netflix again. So here is a list of the things I have been binge watching, listening to and wearing this month.

House of Cards
I was definitely late getting on the bandwagon with this show, but I am so glad I did get on. I just started the second season and binge watched the entire first season in a day and a half. The show is incredibly written and the actors on this show are amazing (hello Kate Mara) - really making this a great show. As someone who doesn't watch too many political programs, this one caught my attention fast and I know I am going to be devastated when I finish the second season. For anyone looking to binge watch some shows before classes start up again, check this show out!

Revlon's Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish in Blackjack
I am the type of girl who HATES painting her nails. I get impatient waiting for them to dry, I am constantly having to fill in chips and half the time, I take colored nail polish off in 48 hours and go right back to black. As someone who doesn't want to pay to get their nails done every week, I decided to try out this line of gel nail polish that has been getting pretty good reviews. The brush is amazing and really allows for you to apply the polish to the nail evenly and without a huge mess. It dries relatively fast and after almost three days - no chip yet! For $5, this nail polish is worth the price and the saved trip to the salon. It comes in some awesome colors for those of you that don't enjoy black nails. Bye bye chipped nails!

Boyhood
Everyone must go see this movie. I caught a showing of it this weekend and while I was worried that I would fall asleep during it (it's about three hours long), I left the theater completely obsessed. This movie took over 12 years to film and spans over the life of a young boy, Mason, from age 5 to 18. They used the same main character so you are literally watching Ellar Coltrane grow up on screen. It's one of those classing coming of age movies that everyone can take something away from. There were parts where I was laughing, crying and smiling - I greatly related to it. I don't want to give too much away, but I strongly encourage everyone to go and see it. It has great actors, a perfect storyline and a soundtrack that is going to really bring back some memories.

Distressed Denim
I was shopping around online and almost dropped seventy dollars on a pair of ripped up jeans until I remembered that I had an old pair of my grandpa's work jeans laying around. I tore and frayed a few holes in the material and I was set. Distressed denim can be dressed up or dressed down and is a look that a ton of people are rocking these days. Not to mention, it's incredibly comfortable. I am glad I finally have an alternative pant to my black skinny jeans I wear practically everyday. For those of you that don't want to drop a wad of cash for torn up pants, go through your parents' closets or hit up a thrift store for a good pair of Levi's and go to town ripping them up!

Arkells' High Noon
If you are looking for a throwback to some good old 80's pop rock music, this album is going to do the trick. Arkells have always crafted beautifully written and constructed music and this album is definitely high energy and perfect for the summer. I listen to it in the car, when I am getting ready and at any other given point during the day. It's carefree and fun music that anyone can enjoy and is a huge step forward from their past releases.
Listen to: Dirty Blonde and Leather Jacket

Hope all is well.
Just love me:
