London Fashion Week Part 1

So London Fashion Week finished this week and I am back with my two part coverage - here are some of my favorite looks shown on the runway.

This was one of the first collections that was debuted at London Fashion Week and I particularly love the white/grey/red-orange color that was used in part of the collection (the colors really compliment each other). This collection had a very retro and avant-garde style that I didn't see too much in other collections. The blue used was gorgeous and the bows on the heads were the perfect dramatic touch. There was a good balance between over the top pieces (the long sleeve furry dress) and simple looks that could be worn by everyday people and each garment was beautifully designed in such a unique way. This collection had a few silhouettes that were not seen in any other collections!

This was one of the more versatile collections at fashion week. There were looks that were simple and sporty, tailored and put together and super dressy. Topshop always debuts looks that I love because a lot of their garments really work with many different body types. The bright reds and blues are perfect colors for the Spring and Summer and I love that they threw in some elegant dresses at the end of the collection. Topshop has always been about having types of clothes for all types of people and this collection is a great representation of that. There are pieces for the everyday casual women, the professional ladies and those looking for a greatly embellished dress for a special occasion.

I would wear every single look in this collection. It definitely doesn't hold the stereotypical Spring and Summer looks that most people think about (like Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 line). They used a dark and masculine palette throughout the line, really giving it that punk rock vibe that I look for in clothes. As I have said before, I am not a huge fan of dressing for Spring and Summer and this McQueen collection is the perfect alternative to that. The garments are baggy and light, but still have the dark colors and tones I normally wear. I didn't see a whole lot of metallic in a lot of collections so this was a lovely surprise and definitely a Spring and Summer look that is perfect for those that don't like to wear pastels or neons! Each piece is simple enough to be paired with other things you have in your wardrobe or worn simple as is.

Part 2 will be up tomorrow!
Hope all is well.
Just love me:
